Tents are fun
We
will be enjoying our nights in Texas in tents. There is tons of
open space, and a number of campsite "communities" will be
made within them. So that's where we will pitch tents for three days.
The weather at that time of the year is rather nice (mid-60s at night),
so it should be beautiful weather for camping.
Foodage
This trip, much like my life, is guided by
a few simple principles: food is good, and spending lots of
money on food is bad. In this spirit, we will bring most of our food
with us. We can also do some shopping in the Sherman area, if needed. Do
you have suggestions for what we should eat? Let me know.
Showers Anyone?
I'll quote the OneDay03 site:
There will be multiple shower and portable toilet facilities
located near the campsites and the OneDay field. Please note: these are
portable shower facilities. Please bring your own soap/shampoo and be prepared
for a very quick shower. OneDay is primarily a camping event. Be prepared
to wait for showers.
I think that says it all.
The cost
And finally, we have arrived to the cost of
the trip. If you can commit by the deadline of January 22nd, I expect the
cost to be under $150. This includes the cost of:
- Camping
- Food
- Gas money
- Tolls
- And of course, OneDay itself
This price is not final, and subject to change. However, I am fairly certain
that the price will not go over $150. It may come down a bit.
So there you have it. Go ahead to the last page to
see what you can do to become a part of the journey to OneDay03. -->
