The Journey to OneDay03

The Plan

OK, if you're here you probably want specifics about the trip to OneDay03. Good. I'll see what I can do. There have been some additions since this information was first posted, so hopefully the next few pages will answer most of your questions. You are an important part in all of this, because if you have a suggestion or question about the trip, I'd like to hear it! Feel free to contact me about anything.

The Schedule

It all starts May 23. This is a Friday, and it is when we'll be heading out from the Rochester, NY area. The time of day is yet to be decided. The plan is to leave Friday, in the early evening. This will allow people who are working and those with finals to meet with us. We will trade off drivers, and drive straight through to arrive in Texas late on...

The field from OneDay 2000Saturday, May 24. The exact hour we arrive is flexible. Saturday is basically an arrival day for OneDay participants, with official events only starting the next day...

Sunday, May 25. No, this is not the day of OneDay. Sunday is a day of preparation, when we will ready our hearts for the next day of worship. Louie Giglio will address all of us in our campsites on this night. Sunday is a day to settle our hearts, clear our minds, and fix our focus on the Lord. All this is in anticipation of...

The crowd at OneDay 2000OneDay03 - Monday, May 26. This is it. We will simply spend all day in communion with our Father. Throughout the day there will be speakers to bring us messages, musical worship leaders, and a number of other events that will facilitate our personal worship. Eventually the day will end, leading us to...

Tuesday, May 27. This is a day of closing. There will be a final gathering in the morning to commission us to go out into the world. We will depart the Sherman area around noon. It's looking like we will be driving straight home through...

Wednesday, May 28 The plan as of right now is to head back right away so we can get home late on this night. That way people can return to work, home, school, or whatever else they want to do. This will make the trip five days long. My hope is that because three of those days are a weekend or a holiday, people will not have too many conflicts with this time.
