A Perfect COVID Wedding
The Love Story of Bennett & Nicole
"This day is perfect."
Nicole, the bride pictured here, said those words to me on her wedding day in August of this year.
And when I heard them, I started to tear up.
You see, she didn’t have to feel that way. The coronavirus has, seemingly, ruined everything. Couples are postponing, slashing guests lists, moving venues, dealing with out-of-state quarantines, and worrying about vulnerable family members.
Engaged couples have every right to be upset, even angry, and how this year has affected their wedding plans.
Yet, here’s Nicole, saying that her wedding day is perfect.
She was able to hold her wedding at her originally-planned venue, but she and Bennett could only have 50 guests. But instead of growing bitter, they moved closer to each other and realized that they just really, really wanted to be married - now.
So they moved ahead with their plans, just with a smaller guest list.
And you know what? Their day was perfect - because they decided it would be.
I share this story because I believe the same is possible for you, too.
2021 is still more uncertain than anyone would like - but you can still have a perfect wedding day. Perhaps it won’t be as big as you’ve been picturing for years, but you can cherish the time you have with your family, friends, and especially your new spouse whether you have 50 people there or 150.
So don’t hold back in your wedding plans, and if it would be helpful, please reach out - I’m a full-time wedding photographer, and I’ve been photographing socially-distanced weddings throughout the pandemic. I’d love to share my thoughts on how your wedding can still be intimate and special.
And, of course, please enjoy Bennett and Nicole’s wedding day:
